The Contacts directory and contact pages
One list over leads and clients, and the full record behind each name.
The Contacts tab is a single directory over both leads and clients. To you they are all just people you deal with, so they are listed together.
Finding someone
Filter by Everyone, Leads only or Clients only, and search by name, business, email or phone. Both are instant, with no page reload.
Clicking a name opens a card
Anywhere in the Sales Dashboard — the Contacts directory, Leads, Clients, or a card on the Pipeline board — clicking a name opens the contact card over the page you are on. You keep your filters, your search and your scroll position, which matters most on a long pipeline.
The card shows the contact's details, their work history and their recent activity. Notes slide out beside it; see Notes on a contact.
The full record
The card has an Open full record button. That is a real page with its own web address, so you can link to it or keep it open in a tab, and every field on it is editable.
Once you are on a record, clicking another name takes you straight to that person's record rather than opening a card over it — you are already in the full view, so it moves you along instead of stacking a dialog on top.
What the record looks like
On Starter, the record is two columns: details on the left, with work history, notes and activity down the right.
On Premium, the conversation takes the middle of the page. The details tighten into a rail on the left, and work history, notes and activity move into square tabs on the right. See Live Chat.
To change which columns the directory shows, see Customising contact columns.
