The free trial
When the seven days start, what the countdown means, and what is charged when it ends.
The Sales Dashboard comes with a seven-day free trial. Nothing is charged on the day you start it.
When the seven days start
The trial does not start when you create your account. It starts when you choose a plan and finish checkout, which is where you give card details. Until then you have an account but no trial running, and no countdown.
A workspace gets one trial. If you subscribe again later on a workspace that has already used its trial, the first payment is taken straight away.
The countdown is live
The header shows the days remaining. It is worked out from your trial's end date each time the page loads; it is not a static badge.
What happens when it ends
At the end of the seventh day, the plan you chose is charged automatically to the card you gave at checkout, and then renews — monthly or yearly, whichever you picked — until you cancel. You do not need to do anything to continue.
We email you three days before the trial ends, so the charge is not a surprise.
If the payment fails, Stripe retries it over the following days and emails you. The dashboard keeps working while that is going on; if it never succeeds, access pauses and your data waits for you.
If you do not want to be charged
Cancel before the seventh day and nothing is taken. Cancelling is in Settings → Billing. You keep the dashboard until the trial's last day.
Discount codes
If you have a promotion code, enter it in the promotion code box on the Stripe checkout page, before you finish. The checkout page shows the discounted amount before you confirm, so you can see what will be charged when the trial ends. A code cannot be added to a subscription after the fact.
Older manual trials
A small number of early accounts were set up by hand, before self-service signup and card details existed. Those pause at the end of the trial and need us to reactivate them — there is no automatic charge, because there is no card on file. If that is your account, you will know because checkout never asked you for a card. Contact us from the support home page to continue.
If the countdown looks wrong, or the billing does not match what you expected, tell us from the support home page.
