Your first hour in the Sales Dashboard

A brand-new account is empty by design. Here is the shortest path to it being useful.

A new account starts genuinely empty: no sample data, nothing invented. The Getting started checklist on the Overview tab walks you through filling it, and ticks itself off as you go.

1. Name your business

A new account has no business name until you add one. Click Name your business in the header, or the prompt on the Overview tab. This name appears in the header and the workspace switcher.

2. Add your first contact

Either create one by hand from the Leads or Clients tab, or bring an existing list in, see Importing contacts.

3. Move a lead along the pipeline

Open the Pipeline tab and drag a card into the next stage. This is how you tell the system where work stands.

4. Log a job and what it paid

On the Clients tab, open a client and record a job. Jobs are what fill your reports; until one exists, the Overview charts have nothing to show.

Dismissing the checklist. It disappears once all four steps are done, and there is a Dismiss control if you would rather hide it sooner. It stays hidden after that.
